The figure shows the support of prefabricated panels on brick walls. The height of the rim corresponds to the height of the floor slab. The boards are placed on a layer of mortar leveling the substrate. The supporting length of the panels on brick walls should not be less than 8 cm. Before concreting the rims, the holes in the slabs should be covered with concrete or gypsum discs, that the concrete mass does not penetrate into their interior. These discs are placed approx. 14 m from the end of the slab.
Supporting ceilings on walls made of aerated concrete should be made with the use of ring beams or a part of the wall made of brick. In reinforced concrete and ceramic-reinforced concrete ceilings, the wreaths and ribs are monolithically connected, so that the load from the rib is transferred across the entire width of the rim to the wall.
Wreaths of prefabricated slab ceilings, and beam-and-block elements are made later than the prefabricated ceiling elements, so the combination of these elements with the crown is smaller than in monolithic ceilings. The load from the floor slabs and beams is transferred unevenly to the wall, more on its inner edge. So that local wall destruction does not occur, the beams or boards should be “blended” into the wreath or under the wreath, to make a wall of two or three layers of brick.
