Binding walls of concrete blocks

There are many varieties of concrete blocks. The advantage of concrete blocks is the possibility of producing simpler types directly on the construction site using simple machines and molds (vacant).

Two or three types of hollow brick should be used to make walls of concrete blocks. The blocks can be made of ordinary concrete, expanded clay – concrete, slag concrete, concrete and brick crushed stone, concrete and sawdust of concrete.

Due to the method of drilling resulting from the insulation and construction requirements, concrete blocks can be divided into three groups:

a) hollow bricks with a greater number of narrow slots,

b) pustaki z dużymi otworami do wypełnienia materiałem izolacyjnym, hollow bricks made of materials with good insulation properties to be filled with structural concrete,

c) pustaki z częściowo wąskimi szczelinami i dużymi otworami do wypełnienia materiałem izolacyjnym lub częściowo izolacyjnym i betonem konstrukcyjnym.

Alfa blocks were widely used in Poland, Contra, SM-185, Wroclawskie, Muranow, charging (XX, EF, E.G, Gamma) in inside. Hollow brick walls are made according to the general rules of bonding, which are valid for the construction of brick walls.
