When manually pouring the concrete base layer, it is important to properly determine the height of the screed. This is achieved by means of guides laid on the ground and attached to it, e.g.. with mounting mortar. The patches are situated what 80-100 cm accurately positioning their upper surfaces at an even level. Now, successively pour the concrete into the spaces between the battens and remove the excess with a batten sliding over the leading battens. After the concrete has hardened, remove the patches, and smoothly fill the places after them with cement mortar.
