Foundation walls are usually based on continuous footings. However, in conditions of high groundwater, it is worth considering the foundation of the entire building on the foundation slab. We pour such a board over the previously installed waterproofing. This, in turn, is spread over a layer of compacted sand. Such a sub-slab waterproofing is easy to connect tightly to the vertical wall insulation later.
