Sound insulation, and thermal insulation cannot be installed directly on the base or concrete ceiling, because their significant unevenness can lead to the formation of acoustic or thermal bridges, where noise or heat can escape easily. These insulations must always be placed on the previously poured leveling layer of cement mortar. Such a poured layer on the substrate should be smooth with a steel plastering trowel.
